The past decade has been intense for corporations, the arts, and everyday humans – the internet reflects the stress. The crypto crash which took the web3 fantasy along with it was the party’s “last call”, throw in high inflation and high interest rates we may as all take a long vacation.
Now late summer and the US economy showing serious signs of recovering it’s health and noticeably new startups are forming globally. Little guys and corporations are starting to take chances again, building new ideas online on as seen by a huge increase in premium domain name interest and sales. Dot com is still king and I expect many of the 1600+ TLD’s to consolidate or disappear. The Godaddy acquisition of the Tuvalu .TV extension is a big deal and I expect massive consolidation after the ridiculous and delusional “TLD Frenzy” unravels.
